What We Build

Every Type, Built to the Highest Standard

🏠

Siding Replacement

Fiber cement (HardiePlank), composite, cedar, or vinyl siding — full or partial. We properly flash and detail every corner, window, and penetration for lasting weather performance.

🪟

Window & Door Replacement

Energy-efficient windows, custom entry doors, patio doors, and storm doors — installed precisely for long-term air and water performance. No shortcuts on flashing.

🏚️

Roofing

Architectural shingles, standing seam metal, flat roof systems — installed with proper underlayment, ventilation, and ice and water shield for Massachusetts winters.

🎨

Exterior Painting & Staining

Full exterior prep, priming, and painting — including trim, soffits, and shutters. Surface preparation is the difference between paint that lasts and paint that peels.

🏛️

Entry & Porch Upgrades

New entry steps, porticos, covered porches, columns, and railings — architectural upgrades that change the face of your home.

💧

Foundation Waterproofing

Exterior membrane application, drainage board, French drain integration — address moisture at the source, not inside your basement.

Our Process

From First Call to Final Walkthrough

01

Assessment & Material Selection

We inspect current conditions, identify any underlying issues (rot, moisture infiltration, compromised flashing), and guide you through material selections appropriate for your home and budget.

02

Permitting

Roofing and siding typically don't require permits in most Massachusetts municipalities. Window replacements, structural portico additions, and foundation work often do. We advise specifically.

03

Preparation & Demolition

Careful removal of existing materials, treatment of any underlying issues (rot, water damage), and proper surface preparation before new materials go on.

04

Installation

Every component installed per manufacturer specs and Massachusetts building code — with proper flashing, fastening, and detailing at every intersection.

05

Final Inspection & Cleanup

Full site cleanup, final walkthrough with PM, and any warranty documentation provided.

What Our Clients Say

★★★★★

"Kenmore replaced all the siding, windows, and front entry on our 1960s colonial. The transformation is remarkable — it looks like a completely different house, and in a good way. Work was clean, on schedule, and professionally managed."

★★★★★

"We had moisture issues that two previous contractors missed. Kenmore identified the source, recommended proper exterior waterproofing, and executed it correctly. Two years later — no issues. Should have called them first."

Common Questions

Exterior Renovations — FAQ

Fiber cement (like HardiePlank) is the most popular choice in Massachusetts — it's durable, dimensionally stable through freeze-thaw cycles, and paintable. Cedar is beautiful but requires more maintenance. Composite products offer low maintenance with good aesthetics. We advise based on your home's style and your maintenance preferences.
Signs it's time: condensation between panes, drafts around frames, difficulty operating, visible deterioration of frames or sills, or significantly increased heating/cooling bills. Most windows last 20–30 years with proper installation.
Scope-dependent. A full siding and window replacement on a mid-size colonial typically takes 4–8 weeks. Adding roofing might add 1–2 weeks. An entry portico addition takes 3–5 weeks. We can phase work to minimize disruption.
In most Massachusetts municipalities, like-for-like window replacements and siding don't require permits. Structural additions (porticos, new windows in new openings), roofing, and foundation work typically do. We confirm requirements for your specific scope.
We do our best to match existing profiles and colors on partial replacements, though exact matches on older materials can be challenging. We show you options and advise honestly on what's achievable.
